We have announced a new partnership with North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College.
The partnership has been established between two forward-thinking leaders in their fields with a shared ambition to nurture the pipeline of young talent, foster positive working relationships with industry, and maximise the benefits of investment in skills and training of the future workforce.
Jonathan Dawes planning director at Tritax Symmetry said: “The synergies between logistics developments and education providers are clear, but are not being utilised to their full potential.
“As part of all of our schemes, we are committed to exploring a range of measures to improve skills and training opportunities for the local workforce. People are key to the future success of the industry, and a critical part of this process involves promoting the value and opportunities that a career in logistics offers to inspire the workforce of the future.
“We are proud to have partnered with North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College to foster positive working relationships across our Midlands schemes and the pipeline of young talent that they are developing. Given the current economic circumstances, it will be more important than ever to ensure that training and skills are matched to the requirements of high-performing sectors like logistics.”
Marion Plant, OBE FCGI, Principal and Chief Executive, North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, said: “The logistics sector has risen to many significant challenges during 2020 and there is no doubt that the sector’s performance underpins the success of the UK economy. Our partnership with Tritax Symmetry will help to ensure that businesses can benefit from individuals with the knowledge, skills and behaviours that drive efficiency, productivity and growth.”
