Andrew is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years of commercial property experience. He specialises in delivering cradle-to-grave property strategies to maximise profit & minimise risk.
He established the Manchester Office in 2012, to capitalise on development and the repositioning opportunities in Northern England & Scotland. Andrew has a long track record of successfully delivering multi-phase developments within his geography & further afield.
Andrew was formerly a Director of Savills and Partner for Fuller Peiser. Prior to joining the company, Andrew was responsible for all aspects of acquiring, developing & managing a £120m property portfolio for a family trust.
Richard has 28 years of experience in the property development industry and over 20 years involvement in large-scale warehousing and distribution developments. He is therefore very experienced and is very much "hands-on" on both the property development and trading activities.
His business focus at Tritax Symmetry is on bottom-line profits through a highly analytical and numerate approach, challenging assumptions at each and every step and looking to minimise downside risk at each and every opportunity. His excellent IT skills ensure the Tritax Symmetry financial reporting is of the highest calibre. Richard is adept at standing back and understanding the business and economic landscape and implementing the appropriate business strategy at the right time.
A true entrepreneur, he has also been at the heart of the creation of the successful Barwood businesses: Land, Homes and Capital and their subsequent sale following the creation of real value.
Christian is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and has over 28 years of commercial property experience, starting his career as an industrial agent in London when he was involved in the then pioneering Magna Park Lutterworth Logistics Park, before joining Barwood in 1999.
Christian's skills lie in creating a product in a location that finds favour with occupiers and investors alike and leveraging his strong agency contacts to yield new opportunities. His geographical focus is Greater London and the South-East.
Within Tritax Symmetry Northampton office, Christian leads the development process, galvanised the business to proceed with its speculative building programme and is at the forefront of customer relationships and corporate marketing.
Henry is a qualified Chartered Surveyor who joined Barwood from Strutt and Parker in 2002 where he was divisional partner specialising in investment.
His clear thinking and creativity in financial problem-solving has helped him put together many complex and sizeable transactions.
Henry has extensive experience in all aspects of the development business with his focus now very much on land assembly and the optioning of land which is life blood and raw material of the company. His determined and relentless approach coupled with clarity of thought to ensure even the most complicated issue, be it legal or planning related, will not defeat him.
The recent success in both optioning up and then gaining planning consent at Magna Park, Lutterworth and symmetry park, Bicester a testament of this.
Will is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Treasurer (ACT), he assumes overall responsibility for all finance and reporting at Tritax Symmetry. He has nearing 20 years of experience of finance and treasury at property and REIM businesses.
Prior to joining the company he was at Forum Partners, where he had ultimate finance responsibility for their Europe and Asia funds. He also led on the acquisition, development and subsequent disposal of the LFFREP platform.
At Palmer Capital, he was Head of Finance and at Cordea Savills he was responsible for the launch of the successful Nordic Retail Fund and worked in Germany.
He has a wide experience of finance matters, including real estate corporate finance, portfolio analytics, financial risk management and the requirements of institutional investors.
Michelle is a delivery focused leader and strategic advisor with a wealth of experience managing and developing high-performing teams and working in a range of sectors including banking, social housing, and retail.
With over 12 years’ experience working with Senior stakeholders at Board and Executive level, Michelle is part of the leadership team. Working closely with the Shareholder and Management Boards, she identifies strategic priorities providing a key role as facilitator and hands-on planning and delivery expert.
Michelle has a passion for personal development and brings with her coaching and mentoring skills to ensure staff welfare and training is a continued priority.
Jonathan is a qualified chartered Surveyor with 30 years' experience as an agent and developer and is Head of the Northampton office. He formerly ran leasing and investment teams in London and Birmingham at Cushman & Wakefield and JLL before turning to development in 2006.
Jonathan's geographical focus is on the East and West Midlands delivering existing projects and sourcing new large scale, multi-phase opportunities. His strong financial and analytical skills are at the core of his approach to development, managing risk at every stage.
Tom is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with nearing 20 years’ experience in the commercial property market. He joined the company in 2015 having previously been at JLL and latterly a Partner at Cushman & Wakefield running the National Offices team.
Tom's focus lies in securing sites, strategic planning promotion and the development and delivery of speculative and pre-committed units. Recent successes include securing and delivering a 661,000 sq ft pre let to The Co-operative Group Ltd at Symmetry Park, Biggleswade and lettings of over 2m sq ft at other sites promoted through the planning process including to the likes of Bidfood, Ocado and DPD.
Tom is a keen swimmer and has completed both a solo and relay swim of the English Channel for charity.
Simon is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial property development and planning. Following an early career as an agent in Leeds and Manchester, he dedicated 15 years to undertaking numerous commercial developments with a regional construction firm and a national developer.
Simon specialises in large logistics, manufacturing and mixed-use schemes, primarily across the M62 corridor but has also undertaken city centre office and retail-led developments.
During his time at Tritax Symmetry, he has completed the letting, forward funding and redevelopment of a logistics and manufacturing building on Merseyside for a main Jaguar Land Rover supplier and has more recently developed a 1.5m sq ft fulfilment centre for Amazon in the North East.
Tobias has over 10 years' experience in land acquisition across the industry and he specialises in securing off market opportunities.
Tobias served for 7 years in Her Majesty's Royal Marines serving all over he globe. In his spare time, he enjoys country pursuits and fitness, his latest achievement is the Lanzarote Ironman.
Joe joined Tritax Symmetry in 2019 and is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with over 4 years’ experience in the commercial property market. He previously worked at CBRE in the South-East & Midlands market providing leasing and development advice to a variety of occupiers, investors & developers.
Joe’s key focus area involves the delivery of existing projects for both speculative and pre-committed units, together with sourcing new strategic development sites. Current projects include CM40 Banbury & Symmetry Park, Rugby.
Outside of work, having been brought up on a family farm in Northampton he remains actively involved in the day to day running of the business.
Sarah is a qualified Chartered Surveyor who graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2015 with a 1st class BSc (Hons) degree in Real Estate Management. Sarah joined the Manchester office in October 2018 following 3 years working in both commercial and residential real estate consultancy.
Sarah's experience ranges from commercial agency, lease advisory and business rates consultancy, through to financial viability in the development process. She focuses on the delivery of existing projects and the identification of new opportunities in the North West and Yorkshire.
Charlie is a qualified Chartered Surveyor who joined the company in 2019 from Oxford Brookes University, after achieving Upper Second Class Honours in BSc Real Estate Management. He studied links between Online Retailing and Logistics property whilst at university and passed the RICS APC after two years with Tritax Symmetry.
Charlie is involved in the delivery of existing projects across the development lifecycle, including site identification and promotion through planning process as well as building delivery and letting, this includes speculative and pre-committed development of buildings at Symmetry Park, Kettering and Aston Clinton.
Outside of the office, Charlie is keen on a variety of sports, including hockey, rugby and tennis.
Scott is a qualified Chartered Surveyor who graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 1st class BSc (Hons) degree in Real Estate and has over 4 years’ commercial property experience. He joined our Manchester office in 2022 from Avison Young where he provided transactional advice to a variety of clients including occupiers, developers and investors.
Scott is involved in the delivery of major Northern industrial and logistics schemes including: Symmetry Park, Wigan; Symmetry Park, Doncaster and Symmetry Park, Darlington. Notably supporting the team on the delivery of a new seasonal and distribution facility for B&Q at Symmetry Park, Doncaster.
Will joined the company having graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2020, achieving a First-Class Honours degree in Real Estate. His dissertation studied trends in UK REITs from their inception, where he developed an interest in how they operate. Prior to joining Tritax Symmetry, Will worked in Estates and Asset management, gaining experience in strategic land and property portfolios.
Will is involved in the Biggleswade, Bicester, Oxford North and Ardley projects, gaining experience over various stages of the development process on sites within the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.
Outside of work, Will has a keen interest in sport, and is building on his mountaineering skills to climb the highest mountains in the Alps.
Ben has over 24 years of practical construction knowledge and experience. He has delivered many industrial and logistics projects throughout his career while managing large and diverse teams. He joins from SEGRO where he was Project Manager for two years before being promoted to Associate Director. There he was involved in multiple projects across Greater London, working with development managers to fulfil the technical, demolition and construction elements of new, single-unit and multi-unit schemes.
Andrew is a qualified project and programme manager with over 25 years’ experience working within the property and construction industry. Having held senior roles at Granite Turner, HIMOR, Kier, Crosby Homes and Reflect Developments he is highly-regarded in the industry as an expert in his field, having worked with many development teams establishing delivery strategies and implementing them. These experiences assist with his responsibility for the delivery of our construction projects across the region.
Jonathan joined in 2007 from Reading Borough Council and has over 12 years of experience in taking major residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes through the planning system. He is responsible for establishing and managing the planning strategy for strategic land holdings from acquisition through to disposal.
Jonathan’s meticulous approach to all aspects of a project, whether through the promotion of sites through the development plan process or submission of planning applications, and careful management of multi-disciplinary teams, ensures that robust planning arguments are presented. This has been demonstrated most recently by gaining planning consent for 3m sq ft of logistics development at Magna Park, Lutterworth and 2.3m sq ft at Symmetry Park, Kettering.
Jonathan has also been instrumental in the diversification of the company into rail-based logistics, through the identification of the Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange opportunity which is currently being taken forward as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) through the Development Consent Order (DCO) process.
Tim is an experienced Town Planner providing pragmatic advice to solve problems that matter. He joined Tritax Symmetry in 2022 with over 30 years’ experience and scars to prove it, in consultancy, advising both private and public sector clients in relation to planning matters for strategic property initiatives for new developments and rationalising property holdings across the whole country.
Tim has experience in the promotion of strategic employment and mixed use development proposals through Public Examinations of dev plans, planning applications and appeals, and S106 negotiation.
Tim has been the planning agent for Symmetry Park, Swindon a 100acre logistics park including two units of 200k sqft and one of 2.5million sqft. This involved pre-application discussions with the local authorities, achieving outline planning applications following local plan allocation, detailed consent for infrastructure and initial units and full consent for 2.5m sqft Amazon RDS over three storeys..
Tim regularly acts as lead consultant in multi-disciplinary teams for planning applications project managing diverse projects involving a range of professionals from various disciplines and practises. Including development proposals, inquiry proceedings, Environmental Impact Assessments and area based studies.
Sinead is a qualified Town Planner with 15 years experience in land use planning across a wide range of residential and commercial sectors in both the public and private sectors. Having joined the company in 2020 she previously headed the Rugby office of DLP Planning Ltd and held roles in Local Authority planning departments in the North East and Midlands.
Sinead’s initial focus will be on the promotion of a large scale logistics development and garden village in Leicestershire and on Tritax Symmetry’s large scale Hinckley National RFI opportunity. Sinead has a good contact base across the Midlands and has a resolute approach to identifying solutions to unlock land for development alongside the careful management of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and robust planning arguments are presented.
Matt joined the company from GVA in 2018 having previously worked at Knight Frank and Indigo planning in Manchester. Matt has 14 years experience advising on all aspects of land use planning across a wide range of property and business sectors including the delivery of large logistics, manufacturing and mixed-use schemes.
Matt's day-to-day role includes coordinating the specialist inputs of design, highways and environmental consultants to support a range of planning application submissions; reviewing land interests and property assets, highlighting the development opportunities and potential planning risk; preparing policy representations, to influence emerging planning policy and allocate land for specific land uses through the development plan process; undertaking stakeholder and community consultations.
Jenna Wilks is an RTPI qualified Senior Town Planner with 5 years’ experience leading on large scale residential, mixed use and employment-led development projects.
Jenna joined Tritax Symmetry in 2022 from Gerald Eve and continues to lead on the delivery of major scale employment schemes, including securing hybrid planning permission for 1 million sq ft of warehouse space and a country park at Cronton Colliery in Knowsley.
Working closely with Matt Claxton, Planning Director, Jenna will assist the delivery of a range of development projects across the North, through Local Plan promotion work and planning application submissions.
Alastair is a qualified marketeer with a broad mix of experience in leading brand houses and marketing agencies working across global mega brands such as Coca-Cola, as well as creating and nurturing start up brands.
He helped deliver the global brand revitalisation of Dunhill Tobacco of London for British American Tobacco that led to a 5% year on year growth across the top 3 markets. Whilst at Diageo he delivered Europe level shopper marketing campaigns for Captain Morgan and Smirnoff, and has launched new products and initiatives for Sennheiser and Shell.
This broad experience across a mix of categories has crystallised for Alastair that a customer orientated approach always leads to share and revenue growth. As the first marketing director at Tritax Symmetry, Alastair's role is to define the marketing strategy and embed an occupier-orientated approach across all touchpoints and communications, whilst elevating Tritax Symmetry’s reputation in the industry.
The successful candidate’s primary role will be to assist the Planning Directors and Development Directors in the full development process: from the identification and initial planning appraisal of new opportunities; promotion of schemes through the planning process; and discharge of conditions to enable delivery of buildings.
